Default Snow Tires for A4 1.8tqms - Opinions ??

I live in Southeastern Massachusetts and we had the first snow of the season today and I'm thinking about snow tires. I have the sport package with the SP8000 & have heard that they can be deadly in the snow. Would like something that is still decent in dry & wet - we get snow but not all the time. Looking for suggestions.....

Default LM22 great so far...

This is my first season with these. We also own the first generation Blizzaks (on my wife's Eclipse GSX) which is what led me to the LM22.

The first generation Blizzak has great characteristics on ice and snow, but the tread wears fast on dry pavement and its softness feels a bit like - someone described it as jello.

I have driven the LM22 mostly on dry so far and am pleased with their performance. They arent my Pilot Sports, but they do feel almost as good on dry roads as I recall the original Pirelli's feeling. The limited wet and snow I have driven in so far gives high confidence in the LM22 being a competent tire like the original Blizzak.
