Default Spacer advice...

My allroad has stock 17x7.5 with 25MM offset. My son bought me RS4 replicas 17x7.5 but 35MM. I know to make them work a spacer is needed. BUT... is it reccomended by you guys? What are the pros and cons? What style or brand do you suggest.
If I should send the wheels back.. there are no replicas with 25MM...

Default H&R spacers are generally well regarded...

IMO, using spacers to achieve the OEM offset is OK. It's the spacers that significantly go beyond stock offset that may put extra strain on the suspension components.

You will also need longer lugbolts of course.

I would just keep the rims and get the spacers, if it was me. Unless you don't like the rims and are just looking for a reason to return them without hurting your son's feelings too much... :-))

Default Uh... if you have ET25 and going to ET35 you do not need spacers...

I have ET48 wheels and with 10mm spacers it went to ET38.

You might rub, but you definitely do not need spacers.

Default the rims he bought have ET35, but the OEM offset for Allroad is ET25, so...

he needs to push those ET35 rims out by 10mm. He'll do that with a 10mm spacer. :-)

If he doesn't use spacers, he might rub on the inside.

Default THanks... I' LOVE the rims... he know that.

I just stopped into AWE in PA... ouch 95.00 a pair... for the H&R 10MM... not in stock.. It makes me think that perhaps with the added cost, I should look for he wheel with the proper offset.

Default The problem with the H&R is they are not hubcentric on the

outboard side on there 10mm spacers. I wish they were we sell H&R. FK is the only one I have seen that has the true hubcentric flange. The other problem is I think the hub on the allroad sticks out 12mm. This is why Achtuning had 15mm machined down.

Default I have 10mm H&R spacers.. They are hub-centric.

My wheels sit perfectly on the spacers.
