Is there any long term effects from having overtorqued bolts?

Long story short:
I went to get my tires rebalanced last week before I make the long drive to Chicago during this past weekend. Anyways, the tech COMPLETELY overtorqued the bolts.
When I came back home yesterday, I changed wheels, and I discovered that the bolts were almost impossible to get off. Anyways, I put my new wheels on and torqued all my bolts to 89 ft*lbs.
Am I being hypersensitive that the over-tightened bolts might have hurt the hub? Thanks for your input.
