Default I'd guess 235/40-17 would be okay too? Would there be any gain in handling given these are all

season tires?

Default I have the same tires...

Pirelli PZero Nero 235/40/18 on my OEM S-line 18" wheels. I originally asked for summer tires, but got the all-seasons by mistake (wondered why they were such a great deal!).

Anyway, the all-season tires are great! Stick just fine in corners, and very little road noise. Have not noticed any tram lining, which I think was the only complaint I have heard about these tires from other discussion/feedback.

Just make sure that you are putting on the correct size tire on your car, and if you are changing, that it will not be more than 3% difference. According to the tire size calculator (see linky below) 235 vs. 225 will only result in a 1.2% difference, and the diameter is only slightly larger. If the speedo reads 60, you are really going 61. No big deal there. Just remember, 235 is a bit wider, just make sure they will clear your suspension (the tire will be another 5mm inward and 5mm outward).
