Tire sizing on sport 16" OEM

I want to put the Bridgstone So2 Pole Pos on my sport with 16" OEM 7 spoke. i want something that is lower profile, but not sticking out like some low rider. What is a good tire size to replace the p205/55zr16? 215/50? BTW, What is the wheel width on the OEM 7 or 7.5" ?

For consistent diameter the Plus 0 size is 225-50-16. The stock rim is 7" wide.
