I have a 2002 Audi S4. It's the same as the 2000 and 2001 S4s in most every way (minor year differences). There should be no difference in wipers between these years.
If I select a 2002 S4 (avant or sedan), Tirerack's page lists out two different items to select:
21" Valeo Ultimate Wiper Blade(EA)
Notes: 21" Passenger side wiper.
22" Valeo Ultimate Wiper Blade(EA)
Notes: 22" Driver side wiper.
But if I select either a 2000 or 2001 S4, then it gives me this result:
21" Valeo Ultimate Wiper Blade(EA)
Notes: 21" Driver side wiper. 21" Passenger side wiper. This application will work on either the driver or passenger side of vehicle. Wipers are sold individually.
Which is the better combo to use (a pair of 21" versus one 21", one 22")?
Then, based on that answer, please update your website so all of these vehicles have the same result.<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR4&url=%2Faccessories%2Fvaleo%2Fultim ate.jsp">http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR4&url=%2Faccessories%2Fvaleo%2Fultim ate.jsp</a</li></ul>

These are simply based off of blade sizes given to us by Audi and/or Valeo. There may be some reason for the different size, but they do not let us know detailed info on why a given vehicle uses different sizes. I would simply use the blade size recommended for your year of vehicle unless you find compelling info that indicates that another size would work better.

I don't believe there is any just reason for the discrepancy. I fully believe that the windshield, frame, wiper arms, wiper motors, etc are all identical.
Most likely, whoever provides those specs found that the 21/21 setup wasn't ideal and changed it to 21/22 in 2002, but never updated the specs for 2000 and 2001.
While you may get your specs from someone else, the way it's listed on your site suggests to your customers that you are the ones that are confused. It may be worth your company's time to look into it and at least make a comment noting the discrepancy.

I can't seem to find a way to show all lengths of those wipers and buy the ones I want. For instance, if I wanted to buy a 23" one, I don't want to randomly pick cars until one comes up - I'd like to just see the ones you have available - is there a way to do that?
If not, could you point me to a link for the following sizes, so I can add them to my cart:
13"
14"
15"
16"
Thank you

I don't have direct links since the site isn't setup to search by size, but we can assist over the phone. Available sizes are 16-24", 26" and 28". Keep in mind that these blades aren't univeral fits for all vehicles...so don't try to purchase them for a vehicle in which they are not listed to fit online unless you're willing to keep them if they do not fit.

I, likewise, could understand how two different wiper companies would have different lengths for the same car. However this is a single wiper company which specs different lengths for the same car.
From others' input that have these, it seems 21" is good for pass side, and 22" for driver side. Some have even put 24" on driver's side.
I decided on 21"/22"
