Mine is a Mk 1, original owner..16K miles...so why would I want tires?
Didn't rotate at 10K, did at 5 K, so at 15 K the inside 1" of the front tires have the underneath rubber showing...Audi dealer said the alinment is fine ( how did they do that without a alinement machine?) I think the alinment is out..and will know when I get new tires/alinment.
So I have those tires in the rear now, not critical but maybe I am wrong about that.
So, looked at Goodyear ResponsEdge at Discount tire..and thinking about those....what do you think of those tires..?

As far as bang for your buck in all seaon tires, I'd go with the Kumho Ecsta ASX or if you are on a super budget the AST.
A lot of our customers have also been thoroughly satisfied with the Goodyear Eagle GT as well--though I have no personal experience on them.

I actually have a set of these Eagle ResponseEdge tires on my S4 Avant. I would not buy them again. They are OK on the highway, not terrible in the rain, but they have a very hard tread (hence the high treadwear guarantee) which definitely makes them NOT a great performance tire. Of course, I'm coming off a couple of sets of Goodyear F1 GS-D3 which are fantastic tires and really great on wet roads. I mostly buy summer tires, and snow tires for the winter. But regarding the ResponseEdge, as an owner of them, I think you can do a lot better.
On my TT, I hated the original Potenza's but had S02 Pole Positions on it which were great summer tires and Michelin Alpin tires in the winter. If I had to do all-seasons (NO-seasons), I would go for the Michelin Pilot's but they are very pricey (as you know). My daughter has the Kumho Ecsta ASX on her TT and they are wearing fairly rapidly, but seem to be good handling tires.
Hope this helps!
