in conflict with each other.
1. streetable tire, of the miles put on em 95 out of 100 are on the street.
2. But I do like to take it to the track so they need to work well here. I have seen SO2's and 730's and SO3's chunk after being on the track so those are probably not in contention unless I hear other results.
Teh stock re040's have held up fine on the track although I suspect I have given up a little dry trackshun (sic) with them, but have not compared them myself to allegedly stickier tires like pole positions.
So my ideal tire is one that will last at least 2 track events, is streetable, and is as grippy or better than the 040's. BTW I have 13,500 miles and 3 track days on the 040's. so that is at least my benchmark.

They tend to be fairly noisy on the highway, but have great grip and last quite a long time. I had 3 track days and 10k miles on them when I traded the car in, and they barely looked worn.

Given your criteria, however as Sharon mentions, any street tire can, and is likely to chunk unter track stress.
That said, your best (esp in the wet) MP tire is the S03 Pole Position overall, given 95% street use. No question.
A good bang for the buck for the track is the AVS Sport, as it is VERY grippy, and inexpensive for its class, but not quite as street manners compared to the S03s.
Call me with any questions, or when you are ready to order!
