Vredestein Tires?

I'm in Minnesota and I need new tires for my 1996 A6 Quattro. I have 58,000 miles on the original Goodyear Eagle GA's.
I'm seriously considering a set of Vredesteins, which are strongly recommended by a local tire shop. I don't want dedicated snows; I'm looking for all-season tires that are as good on snow and ice as all-season tires can be, while still having a quiet, smooth ride on dry pavement.
The two models I'm considering:
1). Vredestein Quatrac 2 (all-season)
2). Vredestein Snowtrac (all-season, I think?)
Any experiences out there with these tires? Recommendations?
Thanks!!!
