What is a built-in rim protector? Any tire recommendation for Celebration rims?

Default What is a built-in rim protector? Any tire recommendation for Celebration rims?

I'm planning to get Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position, but the Kumho tires r so much cheaper. R Kumho tires any good?

The Toyo T1-S has a very good rim protector.

Default warning though, the rim size has to be just right for the protector to work...

i have 17x8 wheels with 225mm tires and the rim sticks out too much for the toyos to protect them

7.5" width and 225s would work nicely and 8" width with 235 or 245 perhaps

Good point. My T1-S tires were 215s on a 7.5" wheel.
