from what i heard, the bolt pattern for rims need to be this number. i know that the "5" is the number of bolts, but what is the "112?" i saw some rims that i like, but they are 5x110. will these work as well?

That a 5x110 (VW) bolt pattern would have a different radius than a 6x110 (Viper?) bolt pattern. ???
How can this be a consistent measurement when 4, 5, and 6 lug designs are all being commonly produced? Wouldn't it be easier to just measure the radius?
Anyone have a history on this?

the diameters of the imaginary circle formed with the centers of the bolts. 5-lug patterns are measured from the back of one hole to the center of the second hole.<p>David
