Does anyone know the lightest Alum. 17/7.5 wheel I can put on my A4. Got to strong too. I'm hearing BBS RC, any other suggestions

Try the Kosei Racing Seneka ROM, or the Seneka Sniper. These are Hi quality lightweight wheels, on par with BBs quality but much less expensive. You have to get them in 17x7, or 17x8. Either size will work.

Default My 2 cents

BBS RC are probably the finest wheel quality/weight that you can get on the A4, without getting into the $500+ range (each!). What you need to consider though, is if you're using these for the street, do you really need them to be magnesium or forged wheels (eg, BBS RC)? I bought a set of Team Dynamic Qualifiers from a local Discount Tire. They offer the same wheel @ LLTek. It's a nice 10 spoke, 18lbs 17x7.5 aluminum wheel. I've been very happy with them. I also got them for a "reasonable" $210 each.
The wheels mentioned in FlyBoy's post do not come stock with an A4 fitment. You might be able to have them drilled, but I wouldn't do this, unless it is done at the manufacturer, and drilled only in a 5x112 pattern. I don't like how the Racing Seneka come predrilled with multiple bolt patterns, but that's just me. Make sure the offset is correct too.
98.5 Wett RamAir'ed Santorin Blue 2.8QMS

The Sniper only comes drilled in a single bolt pattern. Since the Sniper and ROM are hubcentric wheels they can be drilled on any CNC machine with no problem. The dealer will usually drill the wheel at no extra charge. If you don't want to drill the wheel you can stud the hub. Please know your facts before posting? The man is asking a question and deserves the correct answers.

Open question: many great racing wheels in 9-11 lbs but will be very dangerous on street

Default Kosei Wheels - Drilled Wheels = Voided Warranty

I thought I'll pass this information along.
I did speak to a rep at Kosei, who was very helpful by the way, about getting a set of wheels for my 98 Passat. He informed me that they will not fit on my car because their wheels are drilled for 12mm bolts and the 98 Passat and Audi A4 uses a 14mm bolt. He also informed me that drilling out any of their wheels will void the warranty.
Just out of curiosity, is "stud the hub" the same as using an adapter?
Regards,
Steve
98 Passat GLX manual

Studding the bub means installing threaded bolts into the wheel hub. You will then need to use lug nuts instead of lug bolts. No adapter is required.
Thanks everyone for your input. I will not be using these wheels for the street, they are going to replace my sport wheels mounted with R1's. I'm using AAvantguarde type S with PZero's on the street... very heavy! I plan to take advantage of the light weight Hoosier's with a light rim. These will be dedicated track wheels. Sprung weight will probably be holding it's own with the increased weight of the A8 rotors.

I have the LV, one piece design, just under 21lbs.
IMO the best value, quality, for the money. See it at www.ronalusa.com, Wheel styles. BTW it is a 17x8". Gary.

Default For track, definitly BBS/RC

when I had my wirebaskets on my 86' GTI, I took the a tire off to change a flat and it was then I realized how darn light the thing was. With the tire off it, it felt lighter than my 22lb. racing bicycle. If it's for track, go with BBS.
HermanH
98.5 Passat 1.8tm
