Could someone in this group list a few options as to a strong wheel that would be applicable to mounting my Dunlop WinterSport M2 225/45/17 tires. The vehicle is a 2001 a6 2.7t. I reside in Southeastern Ma. and the roads are littered with potholes. Strength would be my primary concern. These wheels would be sujected to road salt etc. so a beautiful, expensive wheel would be a waste. Thanks.

First of all, given the bad quality of your roads in your area, I would not go with 17" rims for winter. You will do fine with 16" and narrower tires (205/55/16).
If you bought the tires already, then I would suggest to look at Ronal's selection - their rims are said to be very strong, although a bit on the heavy side.

A good bang for the buck would be the AT Italia S5s, which have brake clearance & give you a nice factory style look- Right now I have them at 189.00 per wheel.
Take a look, and call me to discuss!
Thanks!
