No weights listed in Bridgestone specs. I'm comparing to Toyo t1s which weighs approximately 21 lbs. each. Other specs are almost identical.
Thanks.
Thanks.

or two. They are fenominal in the wet, and pretty nice in the dry also. Provide lots of grip with minimal impact on ride quality. They're fairly quiet also. Like them alot. Also, I think most folks here would agree that the S-03s are a step up over the older S-02s.

Could the shipping weight also include the weight of the box and all the stuff inside (packing material, warranty books, etc.). I would think so as the shipping company charges by the total weight of the package, which is not just the weight of the contents.

The weight of BBS RC 17x8 is 16.4lbs, so that leaves 23.6lbs for the tire. You also said that the 40 lbs may have been just an estimate.
When my S-03s arrived, they had "25 lbs" printed on their original Bridgestone stickers. Eddie from TR confirmed that weight too.
When my wheel/tire combos arrived, I weighed one of them on the scale at FedEx - 44 lbs. Take away 17.5 lbs for the rim, leaves 26.5 lbs. This included packaging material, center cap and centering ring, which could be around 1-1.5 lbs I guess.
Sorry, not trying to pick a fight here ;-)
25 lbs is actually the average and most common tire weight in 225/45/17. There are very few exceptions, including T-1S, SP9000, and some Pirellis.
hope I didn't sound like a dick ;-) If I did, apologies.
