Ever hear of Nothelle wheels-made in Germany only for Audis and VWs-Look great, but expensive-example:16x7 Cast Aluminum Nothell-classic list for $350. each sell for $258. each plus S&H. Not cheap but nice wheels. Known as Tuning wheels which means you won't see them on a lot of other cars.

Street/race/both wheels? short...
18 lbs is good for a street wheel.<br>15 is average for a dual purpose wheel.<br>10 is about as low as is safe for ax on a car as heavy as ours.<p>Durability/safety is the main issue. If you have great roads the dual purpose rims would be fine. If you have potholes and you never check you wheels the you should stay with street rims.<p>There are dozens of manufacturers of superb wheels not mentioned yet: Kinesis/speedline (beautiful designs, spendy), Panasport (light, strong, cheap), Forgeline, etc.I have a weight list if anyone is interested.
