too narrow imo, i'd shoot for at least a 225.

5" to 7.5" is the generally recommended rim width for that tire, so I'd say skip.

215 would work even better, depending on the car--it'd be close to ideal on the B6

meh, anything less than 225 looks stretched on an 8"-wide rim.

I was hoping to go with a narrower tire for winter. 205 is a lot less expensive too!

That, and winters are pretty mild here. Snow usually doesn't last on the ground more than a couple weeks at a time, so I don't mind having a set of "nice" winter rims.

So, 17x8 fit your brakes, but 17x7.5 wouldn't?
