Default Will 235/45/18 tire for a 1999 a6 fit without rubbing... rim is 18x8.5... stock suspension...

have 235/40/18 on now.. looking for a bit taller sidewall......or better yet whats the biggest tire I can get on there without rubbing......TIA....

I had the same question but with a 235 40 18 tire... I just picked up the same car (01 a6 2.8). would the 40 series give the extra clearance? thanks.
