Fairly common to run 17" snows in Urban or light snow areas.

Nokian's, by far, are the best snow tires.

Default They definetly have stuff for just about every winter condition...

of course hakka2 w/ studs for max ice / snow grip

need studless, got the hakka Q

performance winter? WR V rated.

and of course stuff between each of those to find just the right balance for the winter conditions 1 person might experience. WR is what I'm looking for.

Default Blizzaks and Dunlop Wintersport M2 or 3s are nice too.

I'm running 225/45/17 Blizzaks now - I had M2s before but they were on 16's. I really missed having 17s for the winter and got the 17's last year since we have clear roads 98% of the time due to the mile high altitude.

There is a guy on Quattro List sells them in his shop, seems like he could work with prices.

Default Since you've owned both, how would you compare the M2 and LM22?

Granted, the different sizes make that tough...

Default Doug.. probably getting sick of me saying this...

I have a friend with an S4 that had Nokian NRWs V rated in 225/45/17.. that S4 unfortunately got totaled, he bought used S4 right away that came with LM22s that were used for one winter. (same size) He felt he had more control in winter conditions (snow/ice) with the NRW than the LM22s.

Default Nope not sick of hearing it all! Just being really cautious about replacing tires I know I like :-)

(the M2's that is...)
