Default Winter tires/wheels for S5

Got my 2009 S5 in May, but will need winter tires in a few months. Any suggestions? I will be living in Wisconsin, so I need real winter tires.

Is it true I'm better off with 18" (meaning new tires and wheels)?

Thanks

I saw this special the other day, good wheels and Falken has been producing some pretty nice tires so these should be a good combo

Yes, minus sizing to 18" is preferable for better snow traction, more wheel protection and better selection of winter tires. You can use 225/45R18 winter tires when you minus size. Top choices would include the Blizzak LM25 and Michelin XiceXi2.
