Imagine if I asked you what kind of shoe I should buy, but didn't specify if it was for shoveling snow, ballroom dancing, or working 15 hour shifts at walmart.

They both handle well, have a relatively high tread wear, and are quiet.
The Dunlops are available at tirerack.com, and the falkens are available at edgeracing.com
Regarding wheels, the choice is more in personal taste IMO than much else. I would recommend narrowing it down to a few choices, then present your favorites here and see what the feedback is like. You'll need to decide a size IMO before looking at actual wheels. I think for cali, 18" is a good size (with 8" or 8.5" width). 17" while not looking quite as good, will offer cheaper prices and more ride comfort (taller sidewalls absorb bumps more)
Good Luck!

Either Dunlop is playing funny model number game, or the make some kind of tweak to the 9000 for a specific car? (porsche?)
