Yesterday I asked on the S4 forum if the wheel repair shops will be able to repair a wheel perfectly, and two people responded affirmatively.
However, I inquired with the Wagon Work body shop in Alexandria, VA (a pretty reputable operation) about who they use for wheel repairs, and they told me that nobody can do a perfect repair job -- even the one they use.
My question is this: I lightly curbed one of my new BBS RC wheels. They are polished -- not painted, and I'm intent on making the damaged wheel look new again since they are only a month old. Is it worth it to go for the repair (~$100) or should I order a new one (~$360 after S/H and mounting/balancing)?

It depends.. There are a few companies, like wheel collision center in PA that I have seen do really good work. Typically priced ~$150 to repair.. In the case of a 130.00 Mille Miglia wheel, I suggest a new one. For a higher costy BBS wheel, if its just curb rash (i.e. cosmentic) a repair may not be a bad way to go.
