Default XL tire questions

I got a set of Yoko 520 for my 2006 A4 3.2. It is a XL rating tire. Does it mean it is a low profile tire or just reinforced sidewall?

I noticed the car pull to the right slightly so I need to bring the car back for an alignment check. I didn't expected this issue on new tires.

Default XL is extended load. Reinforced sidewall, generally.

Pulling can be either tire wear or alignment. generally alignment, which is unaffected by whether a tire is new or old.

Default Re: Thanks. They put in diff PSI than the spec too.

The DiscountTire guy put in 32psi instead of 35psi (35 was recommended by Audi). They told me it's due to the XL rating.

They didn't follow the yellow/red marks as indicated in the Yoko 520 installation instructions so I may go back to them.

Default I'm not sure why XL would change the suggested pressure....

I'd double check that.

Default Agreed.

XL tires get their extra load capacity by being able to be inflated to higher inflation pressures. Lower psi will lower the load capacity on an XL tire just like it would on a standard load tire.
