Default Yokohama Avid W4S wandering problem....

In November I replaced my Pirelli P-Zero Nero M/S tires on my B5 S4 (stock wheel/tire sizes) with the Yokohamas. I downgraded, so to speak, because I was planning on trading the car in and the Pirellis were wearing thin. I had a change of heart and decided to keep the car.

The Yokohamas wander all over the road - to the point where it feels almost unsafe. After about 4,000 miles, they started to feel a little better, but no where near as good as the Pirellis did. I recently had an alignment done at which point the tires were rotated. They're now behaving as poorly as when they were new.

I understand there is a break in period for tires, and by rotating them, I am going to incur that break in period again, to some degree. However, I didn't notice any break in period with the Pirellis.

Anyone have similar issues with these tires?

TIA - Dave

Does playing around with tire pressure make any difference?

Default It does...more so than any tire I've ever owned...

but that makes it so tricky when it's really cold out.
