Intro

Buying a brand-new Audi is an exciting experience. It is also an expensive one. Not that it is unexpected from a luxury German brand. However, for those shopping in the preowned market, there is good news. Many Audi models have rather high depreciation rates. So, if you don’t mind giving up the new car smell, you could land yourself a solid bargain on a fantastic Audi automobile. We searched used Audi listings on the internet to come up with a list of the top ten budget Audis that you can buy in 2024. We selected vehicles across several price ranges, as well as different vehicle types. Afterall, not everyone is looking for the fastest Audi they can afford. We ranked the list from most expensive to least expensive. In our search we excluded all vehicles with any accident history or title issues. Read on to find some great deals.

10. 2022 RS e-tron GT ($75K)

The 2022 RS e-tron is ranked at number ten on our list because they are still fairly expensive, but they might just be the best bargain on the entire list. The RS e-tron GT is lightning quick, has stunning looks, and is loaded with technology. MSRP on a new one will be over $150K with some options. The good news for bargain hunters is that these cars suffer crippling depreciation. There are plenty of these with less than 20,000 miles for around $75K which is roughly half the price of a new one, and these are basically brand-new examples. No other car on this list offers this combination of massive savings on what is practically a new car.

9. 2008 – 2010 R8 4.2 quattro ($70K)

For years the Audi R8 was the halo car from the brand. The exotic car looks and stirring performance have attracted buyers for a long time. Now that the car is out of production, those that want one must shop preowned examples. And the least expensive way to get into an R8 is to nab a 2008 to 2010 4.2L version. The 420 horsepower V8 will get you to 60 mph in the low 4 second range and the looks are still unlike anything else on the road. If you want a reasonably priced exotic car, this is the place to turn.

8. 2018 – 2019 TT RS ($55K)

The Audi TT struggled to be seen as a pure performance car. For years, it was seen as a stylish machine, but it didn’t have the performance chops to compete with the likes of the competition from Porsche. However, the 2018 to 2019 TT RS changes all that. The 2.5L turbocharged 5-cylinder packs a healthy 400 horsepower. It rips to 60 mph in about 3.4 seconds and tops out at over 170 mph. And it has more aggressive looks than the lesser TT trims. And these little rockets can be picked up for about $55K nowadays. Not too many were made, so you won’t see yourself coming and going. And these may end up being quite collectible in the future.

7. 2020 – 2021 A6 Allroad ($50K)

The first few vehicles on our list are performance oriented, but what if you are just looking for a nice, practical Audi? And maybe you are sick and tired of all the SUVs out there, and you prefer wagons. Great news, the A6 Allroad will suit you just fine. And you can pick up an example that is just a few years old for about $20,000 less than what a brand new one will cost you. These are good-looking, luxurious, and rugged wagons that will give you many years of faithful service.

6. 2019 – 2021 A8 L quattro ($45K)

If you want a large luxury sedan, the A8 L models are great value. Many of these have less than 50k miles and are just 3 – 5 years old, and still look like the 2024 models. But they are half price compared to new. If you see a 2021 A8 L on the road today, it still looks like a $90K car. And it still performs like a $90K car. And it still has all the features you would expect in a $90K car. But you can put one in your driveway for just $45K. That is a lot of bang (and space and luxury) for the buck.

5. 2021 – 2023 Q5 ($35K)

We thought it was fitting to put the bread-and-butter Q5 SUV right in the middle of the list. This is the best-selling Audi model. Nearly new, low mileage examples can easily be found for $35K or less. That is at least a $10K discount from new. And that is for examples that are as close to showroom fresh as you can get. If someone wanted to hand you $10,000 tax-free, you would take it, right? So, why not pick up a barely used Q5 and save that ten grand?

4. 2015 – 2018 S3 ($25K)

How about a zippy little sedan that can rip to 60 in less than four and a half seconds, hit 155 mph and yet costs less than $25K? The S3 is your ticket. Read that first sentence again. Sure, the S3 examples in this price range are going to be a little bit older. But they are still modern cars. And they can be had for about half the price of the average new car. If you can only have one car, to satisfy your need for speed, as well as get you to work and take the whole family out to dinner, the S3 is an outstanding choice.

3. 2017 – 2019 Q7 ($25K)

Instead of a small, zippy sedan for your $25K, how about a nice mid-sized SUV? You can find a 2017 to 2019 Q7 with less than 60K miles for less than $25K. These machines have plenty of tech, still look almost new, and have decent performance. For this price, you don’t need to settle for the 4-cylinder models, you can grab a V6 Q7 55 TFSi quattro if you want. A brand new one would cost about $65K. Get one that is about 5 years old, and you can save a whopping $40K. A used Q7 offers a lot of space, power and luxury for a very reasonable sum of money.

2. 2015 – 2020 A4 ($20K)

These examples are still somewhat new and will have less than 60K miles on them yet can be had for less than $20K. Quite a deal for a fairly modern luxury sedan. We are talking about less than $20K here. And for that you get a well-built German luxury sedan. It has plenty of technology, performance, luxury, and space to satisfy almost anyone. These cars still look new as their design has aged quite well. Unless you let the cat out of the bag, no one would think you spent so little money on such a nice car.

1. 2010 – 2015 A3 ($10K)

If you are looking for an Audi at a bargain basement price, the A3 might be for you. There are many for sale with asking prices below $10K. These will have around 100K miles on them, and be about ten years old, but still nice-looking sedans, with decent technology for less than one third what a new A3 would cost. If you have a young driver in the house, this will make an excellent first car for them. But these are such screaming deals, there is nothing wrong with picking one up for yourself as well.
