5 Best Street Audis with Racing Counterparts

Turbochargers, anti lag and 5 cylinder flame spitters are all synonyms with Audi and their monster race cars. Their counter parts? A range of exotics turned up to 11 and road cars that could only be the work of mad scientists and engineers.

Quattro

Well, what do we have here? A nice well thought out four-wheel drive car that tips the scales just under 3,000 lbs. Excellent. It even has a healthy motor making 200 horsepower which is a decent amount for the 1980s. Certainly, this is enough car for any road you might have to tackle… unless…

1 of 1

This is the evil concoction of someone who has a few screws loose upstairs. Chucking out a neck-snapping 1300 horsepower with a sequential gearbox this version of the R8 is a perfect recipe for mayhem. It sees regular track time where it rips and snarls in a wild effort to beat the clock. If it weren't for great brakes and downforce this car might be a real nightmare to pilot!

92 going on 260

By modern standards, the 1992 Audi S4 offers little in the way of performance…unless you decide you need one that can do 260mph. That’s right, this 1992 Audi S4 was driven by Jeff Gerner to speeds that rival Veyron territory. Keeping close to Audi tradition the car still utilizes a 5 cylinder turbocharged engine churning out 1100hp.
