ABT's RS5-R Has 523HP of Biturbo V6 Fury
The company that handles much of the work when it comes to chip, tuning, aero parts, and rims on the aftermarket front for VW and Audi has just debuted to the internet their newest creation.

ABT has just announced that their new creation, the tuned Audi RS5-R, will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March with a limited 50 unit production run. The firm has decades of knowledge from taking part in international motorsport to draw upon for constant improvement when it comes to tuning components for street use. As you can see from the images, ABT has taken the time and care to not only boost the performance of this two-door bruiser but also has added an aero kit to enhance the sleek and sexy lines.

Straight from the man in charge
Taking the RS5, which is already a beast of a car, and turning up the volume is something that is a bit ludicrous, but the fact that ABT crafted a car that's still enjoyable to drive is an accomplishment. The car's 2.9-liter bi-turbo V6 has increased from just 450 horsepower to almost 530 while the maximum torque has been pushed from 443 to 509 lb-ft. “On the ABT RS5-R, we get an additional 80 HP and 90 Nm from the 2.9-liter bi-turbo V6, which has a very similar design to the engine in the first Audi RS4,” CEO Hans-Jürgen ABT proudly explains.

Blowing the doors off of lesser vehicles
With a power boost like that the 0-60 time has been improved from 3.9 to 3.6 seconds which puts the coupe in Ferrari F430 Scuderia territory. The RS5-R also features an upgraded suspension with sport stabilizers and height adjustable springs. ABT claims that a special coilover suspension is currently under development in collaboration with the aftermarket suspension company KW automotive.

A formidable exhaust note
While the basic RS5 comes off the production line with 19 in wheels, ABT Sportsline equipped the coupe with ABT Spot GR 21 inch rims. The lightweight wheels won't add any unnecessary load to the car and feature a strong concave rim base. The tires come in the format of 275/25/ZR21. At the rear of the vehicle is the ABT muffler system that offers a menacing charismatic growl to the V6 sound fo the engine that will be loved by petrolheads all over the world. With its four carbon tailpipes that have a diameter of 4 inches, it's a treat for the eyes as well as the ears.

An aerokit for all that attitude
Finally, the exterior of the car has been given a makeover with not just a kit to denote that this is not your run of the mill RS5 but also receives ABT RS5-R "1 of 50" badge among other extras. The car features a new ABT front lip, side-skirt add-ons, wheel arch vents, decklid spoiler, and rear diffuser. The car was then enhanced even further by a special shade of forest green paint.
The interior of the vehicle will feature partial leather seats with the RS5-R logo, ABT gear shift cover in carbon, and other changes to complement with Audi has already put in place.
