It's blue but it makes us happy

Meet the special version of Audi's high-performance wagon that's limited to just 150 vehicles, the ABT Sportsline Nogaro Edition RS 6 Avant. What hits you like a smack in the face is the special blue paint that is there to commemorate the 1994 RS2 which was Audi's first ever RS model.

This is not one to mess with

The RS6 starts out with 605 horsepower from the 4.0 TSFI engine, but ABT takes that and adds another 100 onto it for good measure. In the process, the engineers have also increased the torque from 516 lb-ft to a earth shaking 649 lb-ft. The top speed has gotten a bit of a bump as well in going from 305 km/h to 320 if you go for the optional Dynamic package Plus. However, as standard, the big wagon will be electronically capped at 250 kph.

Welp...we hope you like blue

Each one of these limited edition red hot wagons will come in Nogaro Blue which has been combined with an assortment of glossy black accents. The exterior mirror housings come in either black or nogaro blue with darkened windows in the rear. The large tailpipes of the RS titanium exhaust system give the rear of the vehicle a sharp and aggressive back end view. The edition model has 21-inch gloss wheels wrapped with 285/30 tires. Customers will have a choice between either two 5-twin spoke and 5-spoke star design.

A snappy place to spend some time

On the interior, the seat center panels with honeycomb quilting, the door panels, and knee pads are made of Alcantara in nogaro blue. Bouncing off of that are the seat cheeks that come in leather and a steering wheel done up in rim black suede. There is blue contrast stitching, floor mats with blue piping and a black Alcantara headliner finish up the interior. The carbon fiber trim panels feature a RS 6 logo and logos of "Nogaro Edition" and "1/150" logos dot the cabin. if you'd rather do without all of the blue inside you can opt for the Nogaro Edition black package that only allows blue to serve as contrast stitching.

Sedan vs coupe

The RS6 Avant performance Nogaro Edition can be ordered right now in Germany. The blue exterior and interior will cost $161,600 while the Nogaro Edition black will go for $154,400. As much as we'd love to see this go up against a Merc E63 we'd be amiss if we didn't mention that the nogaro blue edition does get awful close at price to the R8 V10 RWS Coupe that's available now.
