40th Anniversary of quattro

Late last year, Audi celebrated the 40th anniversary of the quattro brand by creating a limited-edition of the Audi TT RS. The high-performance version of the TT was treated to a number visual and functional upgrades along with '40 years of quattro' badging all around. The production of the special model was limited to 40 units.

Ode to a Legend

As is apparent in these photos, the TT RS 40 years of quattro limited edition model received alpine white paint. The livery includes decals on the hood, the shoulders, the rear, the roof, and the side of the car. The car was designed to pay homage to the look of the legendary Audi Sport Quattro S1 that took victory at Pikes Peak in 1987, manned by Walter Röhrl.

Aero Upgrades

Subtle cosmetic modifications also further add to the car's aggressive look, such as blacked-out trim and those exclusive 20-inch white wheels. Aside from the visual changes, the commemorative Audi also features a wind tunnel-tested aerodynamic kit. The kit consists of front canards, a front splitter, side-splitter, a fixed rear wing, rear spoiler side sections, and a rear diffusor.

The custom touches continue into the cabin. In there, commemorative badging can be found in a number of locations. While the majority of the interior trim consists of black leather and Alcantara, while accents provide a welcome contrast while also bringing a hint of the car's exterior colors in.

Optional Rear Seat Delete

An option available with the Audi TT RS 40 years of quattro edition was a rear seat delete. In place of the small back seats, customers could opt for a carbon fiber brace. In addition to saving weight, the brace also helps provide torsional rigidity to the sporty Audi's chassis.

Collector's Item

The standard TT RS's turbocharged 2.5-liter 5-cylinder motor remains unaltered for the special edition. This was a fun way for Audi to celebrate 40 years of success with the quattro brand. And although the €114,040 price tag puts this car in a similar price range to the RS6, it's still a great addition to any German car collector's garage.
