Maybe to the people that buy these kits! To the rest of us, the cost involved with these types of projects could pay off a home. One of these simple 800hp turbo kits will run you $49,000 but don’t worry, it includes installation. Other components in the car have to see excess stress, so it would be interesting to see how long one of these cars can be abused before other parts start tearing themselves to pieces.

No Longer Substantial
Thanks to the internet, cars with 800 horsepower no longer excite us. There once was a time when these power levels were only reserved for the fastest of race teams. This is no longer the case with aftermarket tuners pushing the limits to staggering heights. Underground Racing routinely builds cars that eclipse the 2,000 horsepower mark and have even started pushing some cars into the 3,000hp territory. 800hp is fast, but it’s more of a start point now and that is truly the craziest part about these beasts.
